This image is part of the Nike NTK (National Team Kit) campaign for 2016. The concept of this international campaign was developed by the London based design agency Village Green. It was a very exciting opportunity to be involved with such a prestigious campaign from start phase to finish.
The idea was to showcase/highlight the Aeroswift technology in the textiles/fabrics. The wish from the client was to play on the use of light to “emphasise” the precision technology. The resulting style-guide was then rolled out to the various advertising agencies in other territories worldwide.
The light lines were rendered and the movements in the lines were based on motion capture data from real athletes. Various thicknesses, densities and textures of light lines were combined by layering them up to create the final flows of light trails. And then integration as the trails go into the fabrics of the kit was particularly important to convey the high-tech Aeroswift technology.
