Whether it is post-production on editorial or advertising lifestyle images, I have a wealth of experience with this type of retouching – both with my own photography, and through working on other people’s imagery from either commissioned shoots or library images – or often an inventive blend of both, always striving for a natural looking photographic image.

My experience in lifestyle post-production is varied. Sometimes I’m asked to retouch an image to create or replicate a specific look and work through a portfolio of imagery to reflect this, to create consistency throughout a project. More often than not, it’s a bit more complicated with large, multi-layered visuals each requiring comprehensive retouching to perfect the desired image. Whatever the commission, each comes with unique challenges but as a natural problem-solver, this is something I consider part of the journey towards a composition that reflects the creative vision and authentic look.
